Jim McGregor and the crew of the new Elan 410 sailing as Premier Flair, have got off to a great start and have had a stunning season with a 2nd in Class at Dartmouth Regatta followed by 1st in class in The Little Britain Challenge and more recently 1st in Class 1 in the Garmin Hamble Winter Series against some serious competition. First sea Trials on the new Elan 450.The Elan crew accompanied by the famous Norwegian sailor Tor Hove sailed out on Friday 23rd November on the much awaited new high performance cruiser the Elan 450. The weather conditions were just perfect for testing.....30 knots of wind with waves and gusts which certainley put a smile on the crews faces. Balance up wind was beautiful and the rudder feel is excelent. Pushing her to the extereme showed no loss of control. The general feedback from everyone was that the 450 is a fast performance cruiser with high quality deck gear, sleek looks, superb handeling and performance.
